This September, Pussy Whipped presents a 2-day queer-feminist festival for Edinburgh!
We expect to sell out and have a 150 capacity, so please buy now to avoid disappointment, cheers dears!

Over two nights we will present 10 kick ass punk rock, alternative or electro bands, as usual all queer/LGBT or female dominated/fronted. There will also be a day of free workshops, queer films and stalls from LGBT/queer and feminist organisations/activists etc.
Friday night event, Wee Red Bar, 7pm - 3am :
Rauberhohle (Berlin) - genius bubblegum riot grrrl electro punk
Factory Acts (Manchester) - brilliant dark electro, alt-dance duo
Executive Legs (Leeds) - casio riot grrrl amazing madness
Roseanne Barrr (London) - man-woman thrashy experimental queer punk rock
Her Royal Highness (Edinburgh) - Edgy female fronted synth pop
Alt-disco from 11pm - 3am, courtesy of Edinburgh's coolest queer club Hot Mess!
Saturday Day Event, Tollcross Community Centre, 1pm - 6pm :
Workshops (details soon), stalls from queer/feminist activists/organisations.

Saturday night event, Fiddlers Elbow, 7pm - 1am :
ONSIND (Durham) - underground legends & queer feminist punk-folk duo
Ste McCabe (Edinburgh) - bouncy gay feminist pop-punk one-man-band
Spat (Hawick, Scotland) - melodic all grrrl punk rock
Liz Cronin (Edinburgh) - witty and very catchy grungy singer-songwriter
Scragfight (Glasgow) - three retired feminist queer punk rock ninjas!
DJ's Chew Disco coming from Manchester to spin you queercore and riot grrrl madness into the early hours!

Saturday film event, 3pm - 6pm : Dressing for Pleasure and other queer shorts (co-ordinated by Leith Late)
Films will include local queer shorts, such as James Dean by Lucy Holmes-Elliot and On Your Back Woman! by Maja Borg, as well as vintage queer-interest films that include the seminal 70s docu-short Dressing For Pleasure by John Samson, which explores the fetish scene in 1977 typified by Malcolm McLaren's punk boutique Sex. Some of the short filmmakers will be present for a Q&A after the screening.
Friday night at Wee Red Bar has full wheelchair access. We're afraid that Saturday night at Fiddlers Elbow is not accessible and the day time event at Tollcross Community Centre has access issues with the toilets (the rest of the building is fully accessible). We hate to exclude anyone from our events and would like to stress that we have investigated every option financially possible on our tiny budget.
